Metres woven in the shift, picks, RPM and hours — the loom's real efficiency, and how many metres slipped away.
How it works
Efficiency is the share of what the loom could weave that it really wove:
Possible = RPM × 60 × hours ÷ (PPI × 39.37)Efficiency % = metres woven ÷ possible × 100
Example: 600 RPM, 50 picks, 12 hours → 4,32,000 picks = 219.46 metres possible. 180 metres woven → 82.02%. That's 39.46 metres — a third of a taka — lost every shift.
Common reasons efficiency drops: warp or weft breaks, slow beam or weft changes, too many looms per weaver, power, and idle looms when the next beam isn't ready. Work it out loom by loom — one weak loom hides inside the unit's average.
In Loomiro, the metres from Taka Entry give each loom's efficiency on the loom page and in reports, with a 30-day chart — you see which loom is lagging at a glance. Read how to raise loom efficiency.
