Power cost per metreFree
How many kW the loom draws, how long it ran, the unit rate and the metres woven — power in ₹ per metre and the monthly bill.
How it works
Power is billed in units (kWh): a 1 kW load running for 1 hour is 1 unit.
Units a day = kW × hours × looms₹ a day = units × rate₹ per metre = ₹ a day ÷ metres a day
Example: 2.5 kW, 24 hours, ₹8 a unit → 60 units = ₹480 a day. At 373 metres a day that's ₹1.29 a metre and ₹14,400 a month — for one loom.
The kW on the motor plate isn't the real load — actual draw can be lower or higher. Best: a sub-meter on one loom, or the units on the monthly bill ÷ looms ÷ days. For airjet, add your share of the compressor. Fewer metres (lower efficiency) means more power per metre — so check efficiency too.
Loomiro's Costing module adds power, wages, sizing and overheads per metre for the full cost per metre and sale rate.
