Job rate calculator — paise per pick to ₹ per metreFree
Whether the rate is in paise per pick, ₹ per lakh picks or ₹ per metre — convert between all three, and see what one loom earns a day.
How it works
In Surat, job work and weaving rates are often quoted in paise per pick, because a quality with more picks weaves slower — a per-pick rate keeps both qualities fair.
₹ per metre = PPI × paise ÷ 100 — e.g. 50 picks × 22 paise = ₹11 a metre. That's how Loomiro's Costing shows the "job rate in paise / pick" (₹ / m ÷ PPI).
Some quote ₹ per lakh picks (common for weaver wages): a metre has PPI × 39.37 picks, so ₹ per metre = PPI × 39.37 × rate ÷ 1,00,000. 22 paise per pick = ₹558.80 per lakh picks.
If rates are quoted this way where you are, the calculator works as is; if the basis differs, ask the party or broker once — "per pick" doesn't mean the same everywhere. Earnings a day = ₹ per metre × the loom's metres a day (from RPM, efficiency and shifts, as in loom production).
