How it's worked out

These calculators give estimates — check the real numbers against your own yarn, looms and bills.

How it works

Grey woven fabric of man-made fibre such as polyester generally falls under 5% GST, and textile job work (SAC 998821) is generally 5% too. Confirm your HSN and rate with your CA once.

If the party is in Gujarat (GSTIN starting with 24), it's CGST + SGST — half each, 2.5% + 2.5%. In another state, the full IGST at 5%. Each tax goes to 2 decimals, then the invoice total is rounded to the rupee.

CGST = SGST = taxable × rate ÷ 200
IGST = taxable × rate ÷ 100
Total = taxable + tax, with round-off

Example: ₹1,00,000 of grey fabric to a Surat party → CGST ₹2,500 + SGST ₹2,500 = ₹1,05,000. The same to a Mumbai party → IGST ₹5,000.

TDS: on job work the party may deduct 1% or 2% under 194C; on large purchases the buyer deducts 0.1% under 194Q (above ₹50 lakh). The calculator shows the simple working — confirm limits and rates with your CA.

Loomiro's Grey Sale invoice applies CGST + SGST or IGST from the GSTIN's state code, rounds off, puts the e-way bill number on the invoice and gives GSTR-1 / 3B reports. More in the grey fabric GST guide.
